Trace
Trace had an anxious start to life. After an condition that left him blind in one eye, Ginger started researching and taking courses on Positive Reinforcement training. R+ helped to reduce and redirect some of Trace's anxiety, leading him to be a happier and healthier horse than before. Seeing Ginger and Trace work together, you'd never guess he couldn't see on one side!
Ernie
Ernie started off as a Saddlebred Show Horse. Unfortunately, the show life wasn't really for him and he had developed some bad habits. When Whiteraven got him, the severity of his behaviors were overwhlming until Ginger discovered Positive Reinforcement. After implimenting some early training techniques, Ernie's whole personality changed for the better. Instead of a frustrated and aggressive horse, he found his playful and mischievious side. Ernie enjoys his Mounted Combat training, and is always eager to try new exciting activities like Mounted Archery and the Mountain Trail Course. Positive reinforcement helps to make a horse's true inner personality shine and build their confidence and curiosity!
Bravo
Coming to Whiteraven as a quiet, shy horse, Ginger has been using Positive Reinforcement to help Bravo's true personality shine. He wasn't used to opening up and sharing his emotions, so he tended to retreat into himself. He used to be very resentful of being asked to move forward at the walk or trot, but now will move forward based on body language alone. While he still is learning, he is improving daily with Positive Reinforcement training!
Raven
Raven is a 3 year old horse who's owner wanted her to be trained in Positive Reinforcement techniques in preperation for being ridden when she is older. She was raised around one older mare, so she had to learn how to be a horse and how to live in a herd. Positive reinforcement helped her to overcome her fear of trailering, helped her to understand cues when asked and allows her to grow into a beautiful and responsive horse, while still maintaining her personality and spirit.
