About
Whiteraven Equestrian is a barn located in Creswell, Oregon specializing in the Rehabilitation, Classical Riding Training and Positive Reinforcement of your horse.
We believe the horse comes first in everything we do. More than worrying about what the horse can do for us, we worry about what we can do for the horse in mind, body and spirit. We work with clients and their horses to develop strong lifelong bonds between horse and rider.
Rehabilitation and Therapy
If you've ever been told your horse is fine, but you know there's still something going on... we can help! We take a holistic multi-layered approach to making your horse feel at its best. Not only do we treat the body with massage, body work and acupuncture through a licensed and certified veterinarian partnered with our barn, but we also take a vested interest in your horse's mental well being.
Horses are living, breathing creatures with minds of their own. Anything from past trauma, pain or an unfortunate accident can trigger behavioral issues with your horse. We are experienced with positive reinforcement training to help guide your horse into a better mental well being. Action orientated goals help guide you and your horse through a series of lessons that will enable not only better communication, but a better understanding of the "why" behind your horse's behavior.
Classical Training
We believe in going back to the basics in our training and that means back to before modern dressage took hold!
We have developed lesson plans that will guide you and your horse through classic historical methods of training that include dressage with a strong emphasis on controlling your horse through your seat, as well as mounted combat with swords and polearms. Train your horse into the majestic steed you've always wanted!
